Important Notice: Canada Post Rotating Strike
Updated October 10, 2025
The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has announced that its national strike will transition to
rotating work stoppages across different regions.
This means:
• Mail and parcel delivery may continue in some areas but could be
delayed or temporarily suspended where local depots are affected.
• Pickup and delivery in Burlington may be delayed depending on whether our local postal facility is included in an active strike rotation.
• Service guarantees remain suspended during the disruption.
What this means for CEFI subscribers:
• Contributions & Cheques: Please do
not send cheques by regular mail. Continue to use
online banking bill payments (EBP) or
Pre-Authorized Payments (PAP) from your bank account.
• Forms & Documents: Please email scanned copies to your CEFI contact or to
info@cefi.ca. Originals may be requested later.
• Payments from the RESP: Wherever possible, we encourage beneficiaries to receive payments by direct deposit into their bank account. Please contact us for assistance or to update your information.
• Local Pickups: For subscribers in the Burlington area, cheque pickup can be arranged upon request.
• Courier Deliveries – Children’s Education Funds Inc.
