Canada Learning Bond (CLB)
The Canada Learning Bond contributes up to $2,000 into an RESP for Children born after January 1, 2004 and whose family is entitled to the National Child Benefit Supplement. Lower income families may benefit from $500 to help you start saving towards your child's post-secondary education, you could receive up to $100 per year, per child for 15 years (up to a maximum of $2,000 for those who qualify).

Children with an RESP born on or after January 1, 2004 will be eligible for CLB in each year that the child’s family is entitled to the National Child Benefit (NCB) supplement, up to and including the year in which the child turns 15 years of age.
In order to be eligible to receive the CLB, your beneficiary must have a valid social insurance number (SIN) and be a Canadian resident.
